The Business Challenge
The private medical insurance market has gone through significant regulatory reform, particularly in the two years leading up to this project, meaning that PHC needed to implement some major changes in order to remain compliant. The requirement for PHC’s project with Consleague was that certain group-based contracts that were originally sold to employers to benefit employees must now transition to contracts sold to the employee as an individual who is part of a larger group. Without notable changes in pricing models, underwriting, policy administration, finance, and sales, the growth of the business would have been limited. With Affinity, Consleague were able to find a smart solution to these problems that would bring PHC up to date with regulations and allow them to deftly handle future changes.
